Welcome Statement

Welcome to First Christian Church Preschool!  We are so excited that you are considering our preschool as your next step in your child’s development and learning.  At First Christian Church Preschool, we believe in providing the guidance needed to assist your child in finding their excitement for learning and exploring the world around them.

First Christian Church Preschool has provided preschool in Casper for almost three decades.  Our staff, not only are loving teachers, but they all were loving preschool parents first.  They all believed so much in our preschool program that they choose to continue on as teachers.

At First Christian Church Preschool we believe that children learn best through play and hands on discovery.  Our school is unique because we take our students out into the community through fieldtrips.  We often have special guests come to our preschool, where they share their knowledge and experiences with our children.  Our school provides your child/children with fun and exciting activities that they will always remember.

Our music program is very important to our students too.  Vibes Fine & Performing Arts Center comes into our preschool to provide our students with their Kindermusik program.  Our students also perform three music productions during the school year.  Our music program gives students the confidence needed to perform in front of a large audience… and they are always amazing!

Estamos muy emocionados de anunciar nuestro programa de espanol.  E ste ano, sus hijo aprendera su alfabeto, numeros, y formas en espaa nol, jontos con muchas mas cosas.  -  Translation… We are so excited to announce our Spanish program.  This year your child/children will learn their alphabet, numbers, shapes in Spanish, along with many more things. This year our Pre-K students will receive Spanish instruction four mornings a week and our Young 3’s and 3-4 classes will have Spanish on Fridays.

Also on Fridays, all of our students enjoy a brief chapel time with the pastor of First Christian Church.  They hear Bible stories, pray, sing songs, and learn about God’s love.  Basic moral teachings, like honesty and respect, are incorporated in the classroom setting every day, and our weekly chapel teaches the children about Jesus in a simple, gentle way.

Our Goals

At First Christian Church Preschool our goal is to provide a nurturing Christian atmosphere for children ages 2 1/2 - 5 years of age.

The preschool classes provide developmental, age appropriate activities in a non-academic setting.

Positive self-growth is the main focus for all our students.  Exposing our children to the community as a whole is a special feature of our school.  To achieve this objective, special guests and field trips are planned within our community.  Our community out-reach teaches our students how to share and explore all that is around us.  To facilitate this, family involvement is encouraged and expected. Without family involvement, much of our teaching/learning is ineffective.  We need our families to be an active partner in our school.

Gross motor movement is an important facet of our program, developed through both creative play in the classroom and independent outdoor play.  Unless weather is extremely inclement, all children are expected to go outside wearing appropriate attire.

Our children participate in music taught by Vibes- Kindermusik, Chapel and Spanish.  These special classes enhance our weekly themes.  The Young 3's, 3-4 and Pre-K classes perform for their families and friends in several music programs throughout the year.
